Last night I dreamt I was hanging out with First Lady Michelle Obama. She was helping me with my NaNoWriMo stories. We were trying to figure out why something bad was happening to my characters and she said we weren’t in the right state of mind so what does she do? She cuts out some Darkest Timeline goatees, sticks one on my face, sticks one on her face and says, “Now we’re ready.”
Awesome. Awesome to the max.

Inspiration struck me at 4:45am and this is how I’ve been sitting in the office room - on the floor, writing and recording while keeping myself entertained… Also, I’m testing out this Tumblr iPad app to see how well it posts to the tumbleezy (without incident, I hope)

A psychic in Atlantic City told me I would find out something major this month. So far, I’m all clear! Just a couple more weeks and I’ll have changed my destiny AGAIN!

Okay - I’ve re-worked my Lenore silhouette to be less Laura Palmer-y. Went to FedEx and got my transparency. Now I’m just waiting for my emulsion to dry so that I can expose!

I bought a square canvas months ago but I could never think of anything to put in it - until last night. I was thinking of that Wavves song “Poor Lenore” and I thought of one of those cameo silhouette cut outs with a fancy filigree frame around it. I found a really pretty frame online, sketched it, modified it and traced about a billion different versions of it for stenciling. The stenciling went horribly, horribly wrong on my canvas, so that was ruined. BUT I’m still going to do something pretty with it. I just need to get my silhouette tight. Currently, it reminds me of Barbie - which isn’t really what I was going for…

GPOYF —> I did it! I made a Hello Kitty style bow in my hair!! I used this tutorial and it was way easier than I thought. I was inspired by a few people around the internets and also…today is my bf’s birthday and I wanted something festive and silly. Everyone at work loves it so far so I’m hoping that the joy it’s bringing will make the day go by faster. I can only hope, right?

In case anyone cares - our trainer that was in Japan during the earthquake last Friday was able to make it safely back home last night and he’s at the office in one piece today.
