My experiment with the Montage app (Taken with instagram)
Another experiment using the Photojojo technique! This time, I started with a black and white photo
Today I’m remembering my friend Tim Petrusa (who tragically passed away last week), by posting this video of him beatboxing into my iPad earlier this year. He was amazingly talented and always helped put me in a good mood no matter what he did. I really miss him. Like, a lot.
Un film de fleurs
Shot with the Super 8 app for iPhone
Since today is a day of long renders and transfers, I’ve been playing with the Super 8 app for iPhone. My friend and I have been sending each other abstract movies all day. I decided I’d up the ante and upload these bad boys (and by “bad”, I mean “terrible”) to YouTube - mostly to share with my brother.
This particular clip features Sad Keanu, Google Translate and my glitter lamp on my desk. I had to stay close to my computer speakers in order to get the French voice over. Maybe I’ll see if I can get her to go mobile next time…
My 8-bit character looks like a mash-up between a Ramone, the girl from Bob’s Burgers and some other weird cartoony thing. It’s probably the mouth…and the glasses…and the everything else. I still like it though!
The audio guy at work (who is super awesome, btw) asked me if he gave me cash money, would I buy an app for him to use on my phone during filming at work? The most he said it would be was around $5, so it was no problem! I got an email this morning to check out the app page. It wasn’t $5. It was $20. LOLWUT. But he wanted it and put the $20 in my hand so I had to download it.
This little guy measures the sound in any room and the room is pretty fucking loud when we film, so he’s concerned about how loud it is every other time. Good looking out, Tim! I’ll try to use this app as much as possible - seeing as it was $20 and all…
Today’s screenshot selection: Oh snap! I snapped at close range in my office with a DVD burning and the radio playing. And of course, it clipped. LOUD! But still within a safe range
